Print

Greenwich Windfarm is a 98.9 MW wind farm being developed by Enbridge Inc. on over 10,000 acres of land in the District of Thunder Bay near the Township of Dorion.

A 34.5 kilovolt (kV) connection system will be installed to connect the wind turbines to the substation. A 34.5/230 kV substation will be built to step-up the generation to 230 kV for connection to the Hydro One owned 230 kV circuits M23L and M24L to feed into the Ontario electricity market administered by the Independent Electricity System Operator.

When completed, it is estimated this wind farm will generate over 275,000 megawatt-hours of renewable energy per year.
