Enbridge Ontario Wind Farm (181.5 MW) - Bruce County

Commercial Operation on February 19, 2009

Enbridge Ontario Wind Farm is a 181.5 MW wind farm developed by Enbridge Ontario Wind Power LP over 5,600 hectares of farmland north of Kincardine, Ontario along the shore of Lake Huron.

The overall project utilizes a total of 110 Vestas V82 wind turbines. Each turbine has a rated capacity of 1,650 kilowatts. A 44 kilovolt (kV) connection system which includes both underground cable and overhead power lines connect the turbines.

A 44/230 kV substation step-ups the generation to 230 kV for the connection the Hydro One owned 230 kV circuits B4V and B5V and feed into the Ontario electricity market administered by the Independent Electricity System Operator.

This wind farm generates approximately 622,000 megawatt-hours of renewable energy per year.
