The Trent Valley Cogeneration Plant is a 6.7 MW natural gas-fired cogeneration power plant. The plant produces 115,000 lbs/hr of thermal energy in the form of steam for the Sunoco Canada Trent Valley Paper Mill located in Trenton, Ontario.
Major equipment consists of the following:
Natural gas is the fuel for the facility and is supplied via Union Gas Distribution infrastructure. The facility is connected to Hydro One Networks Inc. and supplies 44 kV at the Sidney T.S., which feeds into the Ontario electricity market administered by the Independent Electricity System Operator.
