Today, the Ontario Power Authority posted final microFIT Program Rules, Contract and other program documents on the microFIT website.
The microFIT Program is also now accepting applications from both existing and new applicants. As part of this microFIT application window, the OPA will begin by awarding 50 MW of projects.
Existing applicants (those who applied between September 1, 2011, and April 5, 2012) will be subject to the new microFIT Program Rules and pricing and need to resubmit their applications by August 10, 2012, the transition window deadline. If they do so, they will maintain their original timestamp, and their application will be processed in the order in which they were originally received. Should they fail to resubmit applications by the required date, the applications will be terminated.
More information on resubmitting existing microFIT applications can be found here.
New microFIT applications are also now being accepted and will be processed after resubmitted existing applications. New applicants will need to register before completing an application.
The final FIT Rules and Contract and the application window for small FIT projects will be available by the end of July 2012. Information on the large FIT application windows will be provided when details have been finalized.
