The Steephill Generating Station is a single-unit hydroelectric station located on the Magpie River. The station was built in 1990, and has an installed capacity of 16.0 MW at a head of 41.1 metres.
Located 25 km upstream from Harris, this station is the most upstream of three stations along the Magpie River.
The intake for the penstock is located on the east abutment of the dam. The penstock is 200 metres in length and 3.5 metres in diameter.
