Harris Generating Station (12.0 MW) - Magpie River

The Harris Generating Station is a single-unit hydroelectric station located on the Magpie River. The station was built in 1990, and has an installed capacity of 12.0 MW at a head of 29.6 metres.

Located 25 km downstream from Steephill, this station is the second of three stations along the Magpie River.

Harris has one penstock, which is similar to the penstock at Steephill. The penstock is 150 metres in length.

Harris is connected to the existing Hydro One 115kV line at Harris and connects to Magpie TS.

This hydroelectric generating station generates approximately 49,234 MWh of renewable energy per year.
